The contract includes

– 2 truck unloading stations 700 tph

– 1 raw material storage with a capacity of 35,000 t

– 1 clinker dome with a capacity of 100,000 tph

– 1 grinding plant with a VRM 390 tph

– 4 cement silos of 5,400 tph each

– 5 packing lines

– 10 truck loading stations

and corresponding truck scales, laboratory equipment, electrical equipment and automation as well as all related facilities.

The steel construction, the entire sheet metal fabrications, the subsystems, the complete engineering, the erection supervision and the commissioning are also included in the scope of supply and services. All equipment is supplied exclusively by well-known European manufacturers.

We are pleased to announce that the Cimco Togo cement grinding plant, as a member of the CimMetal Group, started the cement production on 31.03.2022.

 

The plant is situated in the harbor of Lomé, Togo. This is the fourth cement plant project Intercem brought in production successfully for the Cimmetal Group, with their head office in Burkina Faso.

The plant with a capacity of approx. 2,5 million tpa includes truck unloading and loading stations with a capacity of 1.000 tph, a storage facility for additives with 25.000 to, 2x 50.000 to clinker silos, a cement grinding plant with a 400 tph VRM, 4 x cement silos with each 5.400 to, 4x Rotopackers, 8 truck loading stations, 10 truck scales and the corresponding laboratory equipment.

The entire equipment is according to the best technology available and of EU origin.

The new InterHop

Highest flexibility, fast truck loading and dust free operation – the clinker and raw material receiving hopper InterHop guarantees all of this. 40 tons of material can be unloaded in 10 seconds.

Intercem has received a new order from Solnhofer Portland Zementwerke in Q2/2021, after completion of the new coal dust dosing system.

This involves the engineering, supply of components and installation of the new truck unloading stations for substitute fuels, including steel construction, roof, facade, access platforms, conveying and exhaust air lines. The contract for the entire plant was awarded largely on an EPC basis. Commissioning is scheduled for Q3/2022.

The article is about the ambitious plans Kanazoe is pursuing with Cimenterie de la Côte Ouest-Africaine (Cimco) in the Togolese market.

All three grinding plants of the Cim Metal Group mentioned in the article, Cimfaso and Cimasso in Burkina Faso and CimIvoire in Côte d’Ivoire, were planned, built and successfully commissioned by us. The fourth plant with a capacity of 2.5 million t/year is currently being built by us in Lomé/Togo. Furthermore, we are in charge of the fifth plant with a capacity of 2.8 mio. t/year, which is planned as an extension for Cimasso.

We are pleased about this media accolade for our long-standing partner – and thus also for us, as it proves that we have taken further important steps on the road to success.

In May 2016, Intercem’s third order – out of four – with the Cim Metal Group – Cimasso Cement Grinding Plant – 2,0 million tpa – in Bobo Dioulasso started. The plant was commissioned by the end of 2018 and production started successfully. Due to a growing demand in cement, the investor decided to double his capacity and ordered an extension line from Intercem which will be integrated on the existing plant:

Intercem is in charge of the engineering, all mechanical and electrical plant components with exclusively European origin, the project management and is also responsible for the supervision activities for the assembly and commissioning of the plant.
