In October 2008 Intercem Installation GmbH arranged by order of WEGUSTA GmbH, Dusseldorf, the disassembly and reassembly of a ball mill – gear located in a salt mine. The gear to be replaced has been substituted by a new 13-ton–weight gear within a very short period of time.  The downtime of the equipment amounted only to 6 days.

Sharjah Cement Factory, United Arab Emirates, signed FAC (Final Acceptance Certificate) for the new 180 tons per hour raw mill. The mill completely from new equipment and components has a central drive with 3.500 kW power on the main motor. The mill tube has a size of 4,6 m diameter and a length of 10,5 meter plus 3m drying chamber.  

The new refurbishing center was opened now to refurbish used equipment in Oelde. Former work station in Ennigerloh will be used in future only more as storage place for some larger components. The new facilities hosting offices for the Intercem Installation team and have special machineries to refurbish used components from cement plants.
