The new Intercem Cement AG

…is the old Transorga Cement AG headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland. The companies Intercem Engineering GmbH and Intercem Installation GmbH, both located in Oelde (Münsterland, Germany) were to date known as wholly-owned sister companies of Transorga Cement AG, Zürich. Customers and suppliers who sought services from Intercem Engineering or components for projects therefore always had to be informed about the Swiss parent company known by ’another name’. This presented no hurdles, but time and again did cost time and effort.

To strengthen the brand ’Intercem’ the name has now been changed from Transorga Cement AG to ’Intercem Cement AG’. However, nothing changes to the company structure and its product portfolio as a result.

’Intercem still stands for dismantling, refurbishment, assembly and modernisation of the most varied machinery as well as the designing, engineering and construction of the most varied equipment for the cement industry’, says Director of Intercem Cement AG, Andreas Maser. ’Our employees have made ’Intercem’ -backed by specialist knowledge and experience- into a brand- name through individual solutions and dedicated commitment. The consequence of constant success and growth of both companies is now the anchoring of the brand in the name of the parent company’, according to the business graduate from Zürich.

The roots of the original name ’Transorga’ are to be found in the Swiss owners and their group of companies, which acquired Intercem in Oelde in 2003. Transorga, in the consolidated companies of the TRAINAT-Group will continue to exist. Within projects, especially those on large-scale construction sites and mines in Africa, Transorga Trading AG is a specialist in entire procurement and construction site supply. The third pillar of strength of the group is presented by Natco Internationale Transport AG. The transport and logistics service provider organises and fulfils, among others, the transport of complete power stations for companies such as Alstom or ABB and is also heavily involved in the cement industry.
